Does the GPU downclock when the display is set to 60Hz?

Might want to flash the bios and reset defaults in case the previous user messed with something.

How do you guys control fans without Sager Control? Any options other than that
Already tried. It doesn’t enable 2D clocks.

I’ve gotten the CPU to speed step properly. Now if only the GPU would.

So my power plan was set to balanced with a 5% min cpu 100% Max with all other plan options set accordingly for full performance when needed.

although my battery icon in the task has a slider which was set to maximum performance preventing the CPU from down clocking.

I moved the battery slider to “Better Performance” and now the CPU will idle down just fine.

But I’m not sure why the battery power plan is controlling the laptops performance while the machine is plugged in on power?

I booted in safe mode and ran DDU and wiped all nvidia drivers. The GTX1080 is also downclocking perfectly now too.

I thought this starts at 38C, unless the card is locked to a much lower voltage point (like 0.882v).

Laptops always have a battery icon, the power options have moved around and changed in 1903.
