I have seen a few games that crash or refuse to launch when a display is not run at the default refresh rate. Not sure why that happens. There may be more than the few I have seen because I normally just leave the display at defaults. While I seldom overclock a display, I have never under-clocked one. Why would anyone want to lower the refresh rate?

I narrowed it down to one of the settings in the advanced graphics. Refresh rates are good and so is the DSR.

In the NVIDIA Control Panel Advanced Settings? What setting was causing it to crash? Maybe that was what caused it for me in the past with some games when running a non-native refresh rate or resolution?

For me it's an ingame setting in the advanced graphics for gtav. When it set it to safe mode the game ran fine. So far i enabled all the settings in the normal graphics setting. Going to test the rest of it in a little while.
