but, for further posts about these models, I'd refer to their real names. Compaq and Pavillion. Better to be correct, then confuse people. You could just type HPP or HPC. just as fast :)

It never says HP Compaq, it always says Compaq Presario. Where did you see the term HP Compaq?

I did not know that, as I have no intrest in the business notebooks that HP makes. I will now know that when someone says HP Compaq that they are talking about a business notebook. Thanks

WTF? The Compaq Presario's are not buisness only notebooks. On the HPshopping website they have both pavillions and compaq presario's under both home/home office and buisness. the R3000 series is the Compaq home/home office line. I'm looking at buying one in a couple month's and believe me i don't buy anything unless I have done ALL of my research.

Anyways, I was just wondering: what exactly is the difference between the X1000 and the nx7010? I know the coloring is a wee bit different (i believe the latter is darker). But I couldn't notice any other difference? May it be that HP is planning to substitute the nx7010 with the X1000 (the X1000 are relatively new compared to the nx7010, right?). Plus i don't get the fact that the X1000 is a pc for "home" whereas the nx7010 is rather for "business". To me, they are the same.

    HP Compaq nx7010, 512 RAM, PM 1.5 Ghz, 64 MB ATI 9200, 40 GB 4200 rpm, WSXGA (1680x1050)
