Hi, I plan on upgrading my HP envy touchsmart 4-1115dx Ultrabook with a 1366x768 lcd panel to a 1600x900. My question is if the lcd screen itself has to be a touch or is this just in the glass digitizer assembly? I found this on amazon and its identical to minehttps://www.amazon.com/AUO-AU-Optronics-B140RTN02-1-B140RW02-Screen/dp/B00X8F11TI Will it be a noticeable improvement? Anyone know if this will work or improve my viewing angles? Any input would be greatly appreciated...

Update: I found a 1920x1080 with the same specs. Im really just wanting an ips display for the better viewing angles. Id settle for a 1366x768 if i could have ips , anything else to watch out for?

@Hrtbt454 did you verify your motherboard supports internal screens with higher than HD resolutions?

Not quite sure how to do that. However I do know that none of the models in this line ever came with anything higher than the 1366x768 TN panel . I do know that the connector is the same 40 pin that i have. Im not trying to go higher than HD tho...

@Hrtbt454 it may be your motherboard doesn't have enough lanes to support anything over 1366x768 / 1280x800. Your best bet would be to find schematics for your motherboard and study them.
