    Thanks!

New issue, this one may be easier to resolve.

I installed a new Samsung 830 ssd and did a fresh install. I found all drivers but bluetooth is not showing up in windows 7 at all. Pretty sure I installed the correct driver. Device manager doesn't show any missing devices. Any insight on this? I'm afraid I'll have to install something HP related but I don't want to start installing HP bloat that I don't need.

Edit: Problem solved, device manager had BT radio disabled for some reason. Installed the HP connections manager and it turned it back on. Wonder if I uninstall the HP Connection Manager if it will re-disable itself.

Sorry guys that I'm coming to this thread with nothing but issues that need resolving. I have everything working well now with a new SSD and a fresh install of Windows. All drivers are loaded and everything looks good but now when I wake my machine up from sleep the optical drive pops open for no reason???? Anyone know what this might be?

Is there some way to stop the battery from recharging after it drops to 95%? I want to change it to ~90% (to protect the battery).

Can anybody recommend a wifi card to replace the atheros card in the 4430s? I should've gotten the intel card when I bought this laptop.

Can anyone please suggest, If I will need additional hard drive caddy to replace primary drive with SSD.

I am also concerned about anything breaking down during installation because getting support from HP customer care in India is impossible and I will be completely on my own. I recently bought HP Mini 110 and found its bluetooth adapter is not working. I tried contacting them through web but never received any confirmation nor response to my questions. I tried calling their call center support and guy immediately took my number and told me somebody from their team will get back to me but nobody did. I am now confused, If I should buy this laptop of not.

You won't need a caddy to replace the HDD with an SSD. You will need a caddy to replace the ODD with an SSD/HDD.

You can now disable on-screen notifications (from an HP email today):

If you want to disable certain notifications, you must directly modify the Windows Registry as there is no method for doing this inside the program itself. The following are the Registry settings than can be changed to implement the desired results:

    Registry Key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Hewlett-Packard\HP HotKey Support

    Value Name: VolumeOSD DWORD 0
    Value Name: AmbientLightSensorOSD DWORD 0
    Value Name: BrightnessOSD DWORD 0
    Value Name: CapsLockOSD DWORD 0
    Value Name: NumLockOSD DWORD 0
    Value Name: ScrollLockOSD DWORD 0

Setting the value to '0' disables it. To reenable it, set it to '1',

Anyone try this yet? Curious if it will bring back 1600 memory support. Might try this soon.

Edit: Flashed new F.28 and still no 1600 memory speed support. :(
