Probably has a similar whitelist to the 2560P. See INFO: 2560P WWAN/WIFI whitelist. Someone would need to deconstruct the 4430s bios using PhoenixTool and identify the wifi card contained for a 100% accurate list.

With HD streaming and brightness set at 60% you should be looking at around 2:45-3 hours (with the standard 6-cell).

Good morning fellow users... Today I just wanted to do something which was in my mind before I purchased my 4530s... In a few words I wanted to watch some content from my 4530s to my Sony Bravia 32 inch with HDMI, So I bought a cable from e-bay now I am waiting for it to try out...

But Here's what I've been reading around...

Intel HD 3000's do not display well tru Hdmi to external monitors...!!??
Is this true ...erm I mean anyone here tried it out yet ?

Ok so I'm debating between the 4530s and an Asus...
One thing which is confusing me is that the specs show the probook as being much thinner (and relatively lighter) than most laptops. Yet when I read reviews here, on amazon or newegg, NO ONE mentions it... Some people mention it being lighter than the average laptop but no one seems to comment on the actual thickness. Is it actually thinner or did they just write the specs from the smallest point on the computer?

Specs say thickness=1.13" (2.87cm). That's actually significantly thinner than most yet no one comments on it. Is it noticeable?

Unfortunately there are none where I live so I can't go check it out. Size and portability (for a cheap price) are important to me as I travel somewhat and use Linux so I don't actually need an insane amount of power for what I do. However, if it's just as thick as the average laptop I think I'll go with the Asus as it gives a lot more bang for your buck in terms of power vs the extra thickness+weight. I travel, but once somewhere I basically use my laptop as a desktop (meaning I don't carry it everywhere or go in coffee shops with it).

    Here are the two:
    HP:
    Newegg.ca - HP ProBook 4530s (A7K05UT#ABA) Notebook Intel Core i3 2350M(2.30GHz) 15.6" 4GB Memory DDR3 1333 500GB HDD 5400rpm DVD+/-RW SuperMulti DL Intel HD Graphics 3000

    Asus:
Buy the ASUS A53Z-TH61 15.6 Brown Laptop Computer at TigerDirect.ca

What kind of problems have you read about? Specific for TV screens or any kind of display?
My 4530 with intel hd 3000 card has had no problems with a hdmi-connected external monitor (eizo) in 1920x1080 resolution. Works great both in windows and linux environments for all desktop work and movies that I've tried.
Haven't connected the computer to any regular TV-screen with hdmi ports yet so I can't say anything about that type of scenario.

I found some info that there were problems the HD3000 lessering the quality when connected with a TV from hdmi... and they concluded it was
from the pci-chipset on the intel forums. Even some other brands not HP.
Your model has an ATI chipset too or just HD 3000 like mine ?

OK 2 hours ago I received my hdmi 1.4 cable ... installed and all working good ... phew
Just 1 question tho , can I make my lappy screen go black while in cloning mode cause when laptop screen goes sleep or dims the same does the TV... Since they are in seperate rooms can't move mouse in front of tv only in front of laptop.

On my tv it works if you switch them regularly using Fn+F4 and switch it projector only. If not, then I'm sure there are programs out there that would do the trick :D
