So, I can't find any reviews for either of these, the only ones I could find have different models, so please tell me which one would be better asap. Also tell me if the samsung one can also burn dvds as well.

      Thanks!

They are both low end and the specs reflect that. There really isn't much of a difference between the two.
The Samsung does appear to have a DVDRW drive as it says in the specs. I can't remember the last time I saw a read only DVD.
You could look at the Dell and HP outlets if you want something with better quality. A Dell Latitude or HP Probook are both considerably better than those two.
If you fill in the sticky, people may be able to help you more.

Close call, but I think I'd go with the HP for two reasons. You get more memory and since it's from Costco you get a 90-day return window, no questions asked and no restocking fee. You'll know whether you like it or not within that window, so it's a nice way to trial run something. The warranty covers for anything that should break after that time.

It'd be helpful to fill out the sticky attached to this subforum, since it'll help us help you pick a laptop better. I wouldn't pick either of these two laptops just because of the low-resolution displays on them (768p on a 15.6" laptop is too low).
