i hate the WASD ugly key trend.... like this omen, acer, and my ugly asus.

Do gamers really need those keys highlighted, like they don't know where they are?

The highlighted keycaps really stick out like a sore thumb.

Yeah I also find it highly uneccesarry. You feel it with your fingers, no need for highlighted keys. Its even more ugly when the keyboards have RGB lighting combined with theese highlighted often red WASD keys.

Now the new HP OMEN laptops are availaible here in Sweden were I live. But they are super expensive. 2500 dollars for the 17inch 7700hq Nivida 1070 version. Thats way more than the MSI GT72VR and the Asus g752vs costs here.

    Sad sad sad sad

Noticed that I have a very nice discount on the HP store by ordering through the company I work for. So ordered one for 1950$. 10-20 days delivery time though.

By the looks of it, I like everything about the new new updated versions apart from the red WASD keys.

Contacted HP Sweden about buying black replacement keys but that wasn't possible. Anyone got any bright idéa where to/how to get black replacements?

I would assume Asus uses interchangeable keyboard sizes for ease of manufacture. Maybe you can buy replacement keys from another line and pop them in

First HP I've liked since my Dv7t 7000 Quad. Hopefully they release it for sale soon and there is an initial steep discount coupon or sale. Based on past experience with HP, promised delivery dates will slide once an order is placed so be prepared for that (unless they've gotten their act together in that regard).

They're now available at HP's website. Not sure if they're available for international countries too
