I just ordered one with a 240Hz screen. When I get it towards the end of the month I will check back in on this thread.

Can you comment on the minimum brightness of the panel (when it's set to 0)? Is it really dim, not dim at all, etc.?

Being a chronic migraine sufferer, this would help me out a lot.

I don't have any equipment to measure this, but I would say it is very dim with the brightness turned all the way down.
If you have a test you would like me to do let me know. I have an iphone Xs Max if there is an app or something.

That would honestly be amazing. I'm not too familiar with iPhone apps since I'm an Android guy, but if you can find this app or something similar: https://apps.apple.com/us/app/lux-light-meter-pro/id1292598866

That should work. I'm really just looking for a minimum brightness reading (it'll be in lux, footcandles, or nits).

Also, if you have another laptop that has been reviewed by Notebookcheck.net we could just compare it to that. Because they measure and record minimum brightness for almost everything they review.

Very cool - that app exists on the App Store as well. I just tested it and it is pretty cool.

I will set the display brightness all the way down and then measure the brightness on a solid white background with the back camera against the screen. I don't take the laptop to work but I will check it tonight.

I'm not certain your iPhone is the same way, but on my smartphone the light sensor is actually next to the front facing camera.

You can confirm this by covering it up with your finger and seeing if it drops to 0 or 1.
