    Hey guys
Managed to get a relatively decent (for the UK) laptop deal over Black Friday, £1525 inc 3rd year warranty upgrade on the Omen 17 with the following specs:

    I7-9750h
    16gb DDR4 2666 (2x8)
    144Hz Gsync FHD panel
    2070 8GB MaxP
    500GB SSD/1TB 7200rpm

Perfect upgrade from my 2 year old 7700HQ/1060 MaxP.

Now my only concern over this machine is I note is this model with the 9750h and 2070 comes with a 230W PSU, whereas the more expensive 9880H and 2080 model came with a 330W.

Given the 2070 MaxP is a 115w gpu at stock without uvoc and I am sure once undervolted and ratio tweaked to max performance the CPU will use a good 65+W, it does seem a little close to the wire, and ideally in future I had wanted to install the second SSD and potentially 32GB RAM which may pull a little more juice on top.

I understand the 2060 model sometimes comes with an even weaker 200w psu, now I had seen a single report that when fully power loaded in extreme conditions, it could shut off. Does anyone have any experience whether the 2070 model suffers from this or whether its fine.

If there is a risk, does anyone know if this model can use the 330W PSU if I can get hold of one or is there an internal limitation?

Figured coming here where others may have direct actual experience may be worth it, especially before it arrives.

If it is a major issue, before despatch I could potentially switch to the 2080/9880h variant with the 330W and 32GB ram included for around another £500 if theyd allow me to carry over the voucher discount but not sure that is worth it and it is above what I had wanted to spend.

Ok well HP allowed me to carry across the discount in raw percentage form so thanks to the rather generous substantial discount (ordering 2, one for me and the wife), so have the upgraded CB0002NA models arriving now next week.

Excited and far less concerned about power!
