a usb-c to DP cable is 15 bucks on amazon and it works just the same. Im running 1440p ultrawide (3k res i think?) at 100hz over usb-c with no problems.
Ive been using the 180w bios and temps are great. in a year or so when the 2080 starts falling behind maybe ill try the 200w. there is plenty of power available with the cpu limited to 50w. most games only need 35w to hold 4.1ghz on all cores but even the most cpu intensive games have never needed more than 50w.

    Hey,

how did you get your USB-C port to work? I tried the latest hotfix driver today, with the 180W and 190W bios, no chance.

My wife tends to get angry if I start ordering loads of cables so sounds like I will need to skip for now :)

So my main NVME (stock SAMSUNG MZVLB1T0HBLR-000H1) is overheating during gaming causing crashes, smart error and no bootable drive error. Goes back to normal after a reboot. It doesn't look like it throttles at all when it should and just crashes.

First time I saw this behavior was when I added the second NVME (Samsung 981a to match) so I removed the useless stock aluminum heat shield and replaced it with individual copper ones with gelid pads and it drastically lowered temps.

I recently updated to F33 BIOS and just started playing SW Squadrons and this started happening again. Anyone with this problem? Any ideas?

    Wow, YOU are the man!!!

I ordered the adapter shortly after your mail, but did not feel like trying it right away.

Driver down, bios flashing, driver up, not working, aggravate, everything back again, I didn't feel like it.

This morning I flashed the 190w bios, before that DDU, autoupdates turned off...and what's up: IT WORKS!

With the latest driver 456.55, with G-Sync and much faster!

Finally Biosmod and Monitor via Mini-DP, thanks !

    Here a comparison with 3d-Mark:

Hello, can i have question ? How u get 10 000 score from this i9 9880h? I reach only 9 000 on 4,1ghz for all cores... Whithout powerthrotling or thermal... i already have repaste, but only with TG Kryonaut... And after flash on 200W vbios i reach on GPU only 10300 max score in Timespy :-/

What vbios did you use? I've only seen the 190w so far.
