Overall, use EFI boot to rewrite bios parameters, thus can unlock all the options in Intel XTU. Then use XTU to turn the memory frequency. I followed the step of this link but I am afraid it's in Chinese. I tried to find an English source but I failed. I suggest using chrome translate to read.

overwrite bios sounds dangerous, but it's actually safe. The worst case is that you just need to reset the bios configurations through replug the battery.

Mine is running stably at 2900 MHz with CL 18-18-18-36 and 1.2v.

    Good luck.

Interesting - this seems like a HP specific version of this guide over on the Razer forums:

This is still with a 230w power brick. Ken from gentechpc sent me a 330w power brick which should arrive in a week.

    Will be testing more then.

    Hi Guys

I have the opportunity to buy an omen with the 190w vbios, how are the temps and anything I should do or check if I get it?

If it'S on stock paste expect temperatures rising above 100°C and thus thermal throttling constantly. With a good repaste you may end up in the 75°C-85°C degree range under full load with max fans.

How the frack do I download the software package from baidu cloud? No matter where I click it either wants me to open the file in an unknown application format or shows me a qr code.

I just wanted to ask people, what Nvidia drivers are you using? I've had a lot of the disappearing 2080 after reboot or shutdown, so I locked down the HP Nvidia driver from Jan and have left it alone. But I'm playing some newer games and having some issues, and would like to get DLSS 2.0 up and running. Are there newer versions that are solid on the Omen? Thanks.

I always update to the latest nvidia drivers using nvcleanstall to do a clean installation without any unneeded extras.

So is the HP with 150w one of the better chassis to keep a 2080 cool? I was also looking at a GE 75 raider.
