HP Omen 15 i7 9750 and throttlestop

    Yeah, this thing just runs incredibly hot. It's pretty normal for these to hit 95C on stock TIM. The GPU is adequately cooled but the CPU shares most of the heatpipes and in my opinion doesn't have enough of heatsink material/fan speed to cool it.

    I meant wyvern's screenshots - they all show thermal throttling, that's why the low scores I believe.

    My GPU stays under 60 degrees even in games, while the CPU is at 88-90 only because of Throttlestop. It used to climb to 99 and throttle at stock voltage/TDP.

    Someone needs to tell these laptop designers to stop saving on copper :D

    To be fair I've been playing GTA V and RDR 2 and the noise level isn't too bad, it doesn't ramp up loudly and is all in the 70s.
