Anyone have issues with Omen Command Center not populating values under system vitals? I just got my laptop and installed a fresh copy of W10.. Installed Omen Center from Windows App Store..

I Need to decide between the following to options:
    • dc0201ng: i5-8300h, 8GB, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 1060 GTX 3GB, 60 HZ IPS Panel. 1199 Euro
    • dc0005ng: i7-8750h, 16GB, 256GB SSD, 1TB HDD, 1060 GTX 6GB, 144 HZ IPS Panel. 1599 Euro
I'll use the Notebook mainly as a desktop replacement connected to an external monitor. I know that the 60 HZ panel is just about medicore but I won't plan to carry around the laptop very often. So I'll not use the internal display a lot.

I play mostly MMORPGs like WOW and TESO and some other not too demanding games (Diablo 3,...).

Price difference of 400 bucks is a lot of Money to me. Also I think the i5-8300h CPU will be sufficient for my needs and will give me better thermals (right?).

What do you think? Is the 144HZ Display and the CPU upgrade worth it?

Just a 24" Asus 1080P IPS for now but I'll probably get something bigger.

I think since you are connecting to an external display, the 60hz option should suffice. The processor should enough for the titles you mentioned. I think the notebookcheck review is for the i5, so do go thru that.

Have you tried all the Intel chipset driver updates from the HP site? The Wireless drivers are a must too. Make sure to pick the ones for Windows 1803.

One more Question: with all the tweaks mentioned in this thread - is it possible to achieve an almonst silent (fans off or very low) operation during idle and light work?

I wan't to use the device not only for gaming but also as my daily driver (Internet, listing to Music, working with office doucments...)?

    Thx all.
