Any ideas where to source a replacement battery for the 2014 OMEN? Mine holds a charge for one hour with light usage :(

My P1-P6 special key assignments, after every reboot, only start to work after I start Omen Control, click on some tabs there, and then end Omen Control.

Any ideas how these key assignments can be made sticky?

Make sure HP service is running at start. That also means HP Omen Control works.

The way of knowing if it's running properly at start is if you turn the backlighting off and reboot your computer. After rebooting (and entering pin/password) and waiting around 1 minute, the keyboard lighting should come on once and then turn off.

OK thanks, did that (i.e. swiched keyboard lights off via fn+F5, then rebooted).

First, the lights went on again and shortly before the Windows desktop appeared, they went off.

However, the P-key assignments still only work after starting Omen Control (and clicking on this and that therein)

    :vbconfused:

I had this issue once earlier. Had to un-install the current version of Omen control and then re-install a new version by downloading latest version from hp website. Hope it might help.

Strangely, it seems that Omen Control is not even on the 'Drivers' website?

Is this the latest version mentioned here?

I go to the hp home page and then search for softwares and drivers by looking up by my laptop model number. Ideally, it should show omen control software under "other software download" or some heading like that on driver page.

This is all that's listed there for my serial number:
