Just install the F40 one. The F41 has bricked/killed many HDXs. That's HP's fault.

But if you must have the f41 Bios, right click on its executable file are run as administrator.

But I would avoid using F41. Not worth the trouble.

Didn't know what he was up to but was just trying to comment in general on how ridiculously complicated it is to dissasemble, but I hear you and have that info saved, thanks.

It is without question the most difficult notebook to disassemble ever made.

Just curious, has anyone installed Windows 8 on their HDX?

    LOL. :D .....

Good question. I don't think anyone has yet. I haven't but I am a bit curious to see how it runs.

Well I think I am going to keep the OC at 3.6 @1.325v. I tried for 3.8, but it requires way too much voltage and the temps skyrocket.

    That's what I run both HDXs at. 3.6ghz @ 1.3375v. Rock solid stable. :)

I have. Ugly stupid and pointless skin (HATE Windows tiles) on top of a slightly gimped Windows 7.. Btw it seems not only is there no start menu but you have to use a Windows live email to log into your notebook.. It wouldn't be as bad if you had a touchscreen, but I'm sticking with Windows 7. You should try it though to see what you think. I have it set up as a dual boot.

    Seems is the case:/

I wouldn't know. Lol. One day I may get enough courage to do it. If I had 2 HDXs I'd likely try it.
