2x2,1GHz with T8100 sin enough to write on NBR. ;)
With "fixed ThrottleStopDualIDA You've even 2x2.3 GHz. :)

You really need more? I do not have the translation anyway. But at 2x2.7 GHz. :p

For me it's just the joy of this work, not necessarily the profit. How is it with you?

You don't necessarily need any other CPU. Your T8100 has a 10.5 multiplier.
So @ 250Mhz FSB, it's effective speed would be 10.5 x 250mhz = 2,625Mhz or 2.6Ghz. And as Ricki says, if you also do Dual IDA that brings it to 11.5 multiplier. Or @ 250mhz FSB = 2.875Ghz.

If I weren't on my way out, I'd take you up on the offer. Just shipping both ways is all that would be needed. I have the 1k resistors. Also finishing up on using SetPLL (free alternative to SetFSB) and automating it to work on start up, restart, and most importantly, standby/resume.

By the way, nice that you have finally recognized the link between HWMonitor and GPU.

I warn now over 2 years.

Was there a particular reason why you utter a warning right now?
There are yet no connection between your post (FSB) and the ACPI HWMonitor intervention.
I also wrote several times, the experienced user can use this exact misconduct of its own. For example, I am.
The GPU is cooled despite HWM, only "fan stages 2 is suppressed in the heating phase.
    So, how did your warning?

Yes, because with FSB overclock and USE_ACPI=1 the GPU easily goes to 90DegC. And it did. Fans max level didn't engage.

But with USE_ACPI=0 Max fans kick in and GPU max temp 70DegC with FSB overclock.

Yes, and that's what I've always warned. I always said we can not recommend it without reservation. And even not at all in the startup.
See dv7t. In the box you would be burned off before you can explain what a "Ini file ". ;)
As you know I overclock from the start. Therefore, I knew exactly this behavior.
See also the proximity of our 3DMark06 results.

    3.366GHz CPU and 610/975/1525 match result of "2.0 ":

    Note:
In the DSDT values I could no progress.
The original control is indeed OK.
Still, I wanted to see how it was under F.35E.
But makes no change, what you'd expect. The error is certainly very simple, I just do not find him.

    10160 <- RickiB's T9300@2.7 + 650/1040/1625
    SM2.0: 4761
    SM3.0: 4482
    CPU: 2414

    10345 <- 2.0's T9300@3.366 + 610/975/1525
    SM2.0: 4595 (-3.5%)
    SM3.0: 4300 (-4.1%)
    CPU: 2967 (+22.9%)

We see that your system's gpu subsystem is faster. If 2.0 could match match your gpu overclock + drivers, then would be seeing a 3dmark06 of somewhere b/w 10.5-11k. 2.0's CPU result is an impressive 22.9% faster; wprime-32M of 23.9 putting it just shy of i5-540M territory. Not bad for a $1 mod.

Consider too that there is T9300 variance. Other T9300's have been overclocked to 3.6Ghz here. A T9500, if run with the same 250Mhz BCLK would be running at 3.63Ghz with it's extra multiplier.

    A savvy technical pioneer could then add a FX3700M flashed with GTX280M bios/clocks for ~$175 as noted getting a 3dmark06 of b/w 12-13k. Total cost of < $200 for a ~1-1.5 gen performance update.

What other current or one-gen older 20.1" 1920x1200 systems exist to even compare against?

Sorry, I understand, unfortunately the "Rep " system "NBR" not perfect.
Somehow I could you and others not be more than one point.
I forgot it but did not.
Thank you for your percentage score Calculate. (CPU / GPU)

    My work is done!

FSB overclock guide updated with use of SetPLL which is a free alternative to SetFSB.

Of note, unlike SetFSB, SetPLL can be used to overclock after resume from standby/hibernate.

    Enjoy.

Real world difference? Well things are a bit snappier. But not by a mind blowing amount since not many apps use all that much CPU power to begin with. You would certainly benefit from it considering how you roll. :p

As far as games, no stutter and no input lag. Games that mix CPU/GPU like RTS games, Crysis, racing games, etc. see a very nice boost in performance.

Also Acronis backup is speed up.
