My 3rd envy replacement so far hasnt let me down. I would like to share some pictures regarding the minor gap around the edge.

I'm not going near a macbook any time soon, so I can't compare, but I don't see how a normal 17" screen can be any better.

Hi, I replaced my first envy because the gap was much too big. Far bigger than on yours. You even could see through the gap into the power connector. The new one has a minor gap on the right side which is "ok".

I ordered a 9cell battery on ebay too but it got caught by the customs department including my HDD drive bay. Hopefully that won't be too expensive. I'll keep you updated when I get it. The one I odered has 1 year warranty.

If compared to the 2011 17 inch MBP, then I would say no, but a definite close. Probably the closest screen you can get to the MBP. There is just something about that screen that is incredible, FWIW.

Greetings all, where can I find this update ? My Envy (quickship 2070) does NOT find any new updates when searching via: Windows Update NOR HP Support Assistant.

Where can I find the update for the Audio Driver ? (just really looking to get that spinning disc volume icon, as I had it on my dv7 Pavillion)

    Thanks everyone

The update is actually only for the 2xxx models, so you should be able to find it in the appropriate section.

My Envy has a slight gap on the left side. I decided not to bother with a replacement. I would expect something worse.

I tried latest IDT drivers for the 2100. But it kept maxing out my bass and treble and made it sound terrible.

Go into the Beats audio applet in Control panel and adjust the audio the way you like it. There are presets...and the ability to do custom. I never like presets...
