    FIX for loss of keyboard brightness control after waking from sleep: (for 1920 x 1080 screens ONLY).

    Whenever you close the lid on your laptop, do you lose control over the brightness controls via the keyboard?

    • 4GB DDR3 System Memory (1 Dimm)
    • 500GB 7200RPM SATA Hard Drive with HP ProtectSmart Hard Drive Protection
    • 1GB ATI Mobility Radeon(TM) HD 5850 Graphics
    • 17.3" diagonal Full HD HP Ultra BrightView Infinity LED Display (1920x1080)
    • Blu-ray ROM with SuperMulti DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support

    @L3vi

    I configured it almost exactly the same as you, but with the i7-720QM (I'm just too used to its power from the Envy 15 to let it go now.. ;] ). I didn't include the 9 cell.

    I saw your post about the 17 being up, and so I rushed over and started configuring. By the time I was trying to add it to the cart though, HP took the 17 off the store... :(

    Yes Bing Cashback. Use the Bing search engine to get to HP's site.

    That's weird it was taken off. I think it may be best to wait for a bit for the site changes to "settle in" so there are no mishaps in ordering.

    @L3vi

    I never used BCB before. So it's just as simple as searching for "HP store" using Bing and shopping through their search result link? Is there some confirmation that comes up when I'm about to purchase? Does it provide me a separate purchase option? Would BCB work even if I purchase using BML (Bill Me Later)? I seriously want to save as much as you've stated.

    @jaxxy

    Congratulations! I guess you're not a fan of the 1080 screen?

    Actually my configuration was set in stone. Perhaps it's just Australia but I had zero configuration options...I would have got a BDROM otherwise...but at the price I paid for it I can't complain!
