I the 8560w with no Optimus due to the dream color display and fans always loud plus the left side gets very warm. Is there a way to clean the fans without removing the keyboard plate assembly. With the backplate removed, I can gaps where the fan isn't covered so was thinking of just vacuuming the dust out that way.

First make sure the fan isn't going to spin, either stop it with your finger or jam something between the blades. If you let fan spin freely, bearing might be damaged and the fan needs to be replaced afterwards.
I would use compressed air, blow from the outside in.

Is it possibly to add a egpu to the 8560w and if so is it limited to pcie 2 lanes?

Would a consumer gtx1060 perform faster than the 2000m professional card in the 8560w if i primarily work with 3d models? I know the quadros are cad certified card and willl run better since its more optimised than its consumer counterpart but with a current customer care like the gtx1060, will it perform any better?

For CAD applications forget it, anything that is consumer oriented will perform worse than pro cards and you won't have all the features in the viewport.

Please i have some black screen when i'm trying to boot with graphics drivers. I have a hp 8560w with firepro m5950 and windlws 7. This problem appear when i had update to windows 10 now i can only use my laptop without graphic driver.
I have a hp elitebook 8560w core i7 with a graphics card amd firepro M5950.

I started using it with the windows 7 system that was installed there by default. with the arrival of windows 10 I upgraded my system. everything was fine when I started my video games I played them without worries apart from the fact that the machine heated enormously.after a time, the games began to crash when I launched them.It was necessary to completely extinguish the machine before the to restart.

the fateful day was this famous day where I made the last wager of windows 10, after this one to finish, the machine has restarted the system was launched and immediately after blue screen. an error message s' poster and the machine restart so on. i ended up with system cahnger and go back to windows 7 but the same thing catches me. I already had to try any type of driver for my grapic card and I even changed the thermal paste on the proccesseur and the graphics processor because I dressed that heating could be for something in there.

today I am forced to go into error-free mode, to uninstall the graphics card before using my machine which does not serve me much without the graphics.

so in resume once I install the driver of the grapic map, blue screen but when I disintalle the driver the machine works but with the basic graphical configuraton.

I have tried everything already and I am desperate. I think my graphics card is dead.I would like you to confirm me.

    thank you in advance,,

The black rubber seal around the bezel is really flaky and is starting to come off. Just rubbing my fingers on it softly will cause the rubber to come right off. Is this normal?

Also even with the full/color profile selected within the hp mobile display assistant, If find the greens to be quite dull compared to the other colors. Does anybody have a custom color profile they can share that fixes this issue?

My 8560w is getting quite hot particularly on the left side plus fans are aloud spinning at full speed even when on idle doing nothing buy a few tabs open in chrome.
I used core temp and this is the result I got. Is the considered normal?

I managed to get a nice B156HW01 v7 screen but I can't get it to work.
My understanding is that the 8560w has a proper 40 pin dual channel LVDS cable.
But the screen only displays solid white.
I tried a Dell Latitude E6520 (also dual channel - comes with 1600x900 display) and it had the same result, just a white screen.
Any ideas or am I SOL?
