Edit by justinkw1: All dv6t Select Edition discussion has been split from the original dv6t thread to prevent confusion between the two generations. Discussion regarding the original dv6t should continue at http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-owners-lounge-forum/336832-official-dv6t-owners-lounge.html, while Select Edition owners should continue discussion here in this thread -- see http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-...ect-edition-owners-lounge-17.html#post6368001.

i did get the free upgrade. the list is from my order receipt so maybe thats why its not showing up on this one.... im gonna go configure one just to be sure though, thanks.

as for the coupon code, overall i saved about the same with HP academy discount on the laptop and all the accessories i ordered. unless i can use the academy and the coupon code together it might be too much hassle. :\

edit: just tried to configure a laptop using the coupon code. i cant use it with hp academy discount and if i use the coupon code end up saving $30-40 on my total order including accessories

I'm going to do a review on my laptop once i get it and do an unboxing video.

i didnt get a warranty on mine. i'm not prone to dropping my stuff and i usually take pretty good care of it. but if i do, I'm going to get the warranty from costco. i hear their's is pretty good, and u can even get it on a configured system from HP.
