HP dv6000 - Screen split into 4!! PLEASE HELP!!

    Hello there,

    We are experiencing the exact same problem as detailed in this thread. And the guilty laptop is also an HP Pavillion DV6000. I tried almost everything detailed in this entire thread, but nothing worked. This is when I decided to look for help online.

    Please provide help about this issue. I am about to try flashing the System Bios, but I don't know if this will work. Under other circumstances - with a desktop for example - I would remove the BIOS battery hoping this would perform some kind of hard reset, but this is not an option at the moment.

    No one has yet answered the question of whether this happens all the time (during POST, in the BIOS, during Windows loading) or only after Windows loads.

    If you don't want to reformat, do some basic troubleshooting. Boot in safe mode and delete the video driver. Install different drivers.

    It's hard to help when everyone's just screaming "OMG, this is happening to me too! Is my video card fried?".
