Aww hello m8
with both profiles i boot up as 8 7 7 7 20 single "A-DATA" wont boot so there has to be bios limitations, since this bios is like for 200types of DV6 notebooks and really few have DDR3 and correct me if I am wrong but DDR 2 had max CL8 right? There were some warnings to not try go for 9+ with DDR 2 maybe thats the problem. so far default A-data is best what i could achieve, with full 8 8 8 8 20 <== dunno why but tRAS remains still 20, even if it was following A-data spd table)
btw I even reseted CMOS
Even within a CL range we can loosen the timings.
So here Adata at the slowest CL8 (15ns...14.844ns is already CL9).
Thanks, but bricked
by the way there are 2 states of bricking in my case, one laptop simply wont POST and second capslock and numlock blinking with no POST, James D profiles and this one make caps+numlock blinking and those CL9 posted earlier doing the other type of not POSTING I am soo confused I simply give up, this is madness ! I hope that 8gig A-data will surprise me
so A-data stick is useless, gotta give it back, intel PM45 can handle up to 8 gigs but obviously not single stick
so Guys any tips for 4gig module which can handle 1333mhz with 1066 timings ?
You can get CL7 kingston hyper-X.
EDIT: That may only be 2GB, Hmz, the 1600mhz modules can do that too.
I ve had 2x4 GB kinston hyperX 1600 XMP ... worse modules then my samsung 1333 and micron 1333, so nope, definitely not kingston how about crucial modules ?
Dadik, we already told you that most likely it is not RAM problem. Most likely CL8 is the highest your laptop can support.
yes, thats why I am asking for best 4GB module which can be OCEd to run at 1333 with 1066 timings
I've run both my sets of kingston (1066 and 1600) at 1333mhz CL7, so I don't understand what you are asking?
1333mhz at CL5? That's not going to happen.
For people with a 1333 max cpu and Corsair CMSX4GX3M1A1600C9
Who want 1333 CL7 with no extra profiles
I edited the SPD data so it runs at the DDR3-1333F 7-7-7-20 Speed Bin
Oh its also in bin format so it will flash with SPDTool and Thaiphoon Burner
Just a quick update
I made the spd data when the ram was still on order
It has since come and been fitted and flashed
I ran two passes of memtest last night at 1333 7-7-7-20 cr1 with 8gb
and it passed with my sticks will run six pass at some point to be 100%
but im still setting the laptop up with a fresh install of Win7
