Hi. Was your problem resolved? Try this:

    Shut down the computer.
Plug the MagSafe adapter in if it's not connected
On the built-in keyboard, press (left side) shift-control-option and the power button at the same time.
Release all buttons at the same time after the chime.

After OSX had finished booted, go to check in "About this Mac":

It doesn' t work, the problem is that the MB doesn' t boot if i plug only the 4gb 1333 stick. if i plug a 1gb 1066 and a 4gb 1333 all work well.
I' ve purchased thaiphoon and i try to change the frequency, but it semms to write correctly but when i press "read" again the frequency come back to default settings.
Sorry for my english and thanks for your help.

You mean if I see this I have no chance to tweak my memory? These modules are G.Skill...
Anyone have experience with Adata AXDS1600GC4G9-2?

I've got an M11xR2 that I am trying to upgrade the RAM on. I have the Super Blaster Version of Thaiphoon, version 8.001. The laptop is a Core-i7 U 640 with 2x2GB DDR3-1333 Samsung RAM. I am trying to install Corsair DDR3-1600 RAM, 2x4GB. I have been successfully flashing a single stick through the various speed grades, first all of the 1333 grades, then the two available 800 speed grades. I also tried the settings posted here, but they are for a Core-i5, not an i7. He was also seemingly using Samsung RAM, just overclocking them not swapping for higher capacity. At no time does my M11xR2 ever get past POST. With the Samsung RAM CPU-z reports only 400 speeds(399.1 MHz I think), even though they are 1333 MHz memory sticks. This feels like a voltage problem, not a timing problem, but I have no BIOS settings for RAM at all.

Is the new Corsair memory not reprogrammable to work in my M11xR2?

@nar you are doing it wrong. At first attach here default profiles and tell me what you want.

Whose default profiles? I have no XMP profiles that I can see and the laptop is already not running the current memory at its' SPD timings.

I have the stock RAM that runs fine. I want to increase my capacity from 4 GB to 8 GB. This requires new modules. The new modules do not work. Max for this laptop is 4GB per stick, so that should be fine, but the timings may be off. From my troubleshooting, I have tried timings all the way down to 800, so I now think that it is a voltage error. This is 1.5 volt RAM, and the stock Samsung is only 1.35volt. I have no option to change the voltage in BIOS. Maybe the SPD sets the voltage as well?

I am able to flash the RAM using my M17xR4.

    Voltage may be also edited.
Read your RAM. Save it to a profile. And attach here. Then tell me what you want aka what timings for what frequency. If you want to lower voltage I can do it too. Not sure how stable they will work though.
