How to Load Windows 7 on a CF-30 MK1 Model

    Yes win7 will work on your cf30 mk2

    Short answer is to use cf30 mk3 drivers for everything but the video. Use the cf30 mk1 windows vista video driver.

    I suggest as soon as you get it all installed and running, to use Acronis and make a restore disk.

    I am running windows 7 on my Mk2. It runs fine.

    I have done 2 mk1 win 7 upgrades so far, after finding this thread everything went fine. Got a buggy touchscreen on one but it kinda works, might be my next hanger queen:D

    How does one install the misc driver?? It's in util2/drivers/newmisc, but there is nothing on installing and brecal won't setup because it's not available... Am running a virgin installation of windows home premium 7 on a cf30 mk1casazbm.

    To see the misc driver in Device Manager you must first update the BIOS to run W7. The MK1 is set to run XP... You need to update it to run Vista. Then you can go into Device Manager and click on one of the unknown devices and point it to the driver!

    But I am running windows 7 now, and the touchscreen works. but it needs to be calibrated... I thought this 'misc' driver thing was at fault...

    Did you update the BIOS ???
    What BIOS version are you using ???
    This needs to be done to install it.

    I just checked it and it appears to be V1.00L19...

    Nope...you need to update the BIOS. Go back to page 1 and it will tell you how. It is very easy.
