    Dear All,

I have this error in the event viewer (code 4107, please the following link for the screen cap > http://img810.imageshack.us/img810/9760/capturett.jpg )

I have searched around on google and I see that many people have this error showing up in the event log, though the process which causes seems to differ (the most common I found being McAfee).

But in my case, when I looked in the log file, the process was "consent.exe" and the service was something like "windows time stamp service" (and I could not find anything that seemed to address this).

Is there is a fix for this? Is this common or is it in some way not good for the system to keep having this error? Or should I just leave it alone?

Also, I started seeing this error since the last month or two.

    Many thanks in advance.

    Cheers.

Thanks QHN.. I did, and nothing turned up. The system' clean.

I was checking the certificates and there were some expired certificates with time stamp functions or similar. I am not sure if this has got anything to do with that. But I still keep seeing the error even after I deleted those certificates. :(

So, I have no idea what to do or where to look, for more details!!! :-|

    Cheers.

    Dear All,

Bringing this topic up again, after a long time.

The error still persists and I just found this on google...

    CAPI2 Error 4107

Does anyone know if this fix (last post by user "Win7ine") works? Is it safe to follow that fix?

    Thanks in advance and cheers.

There is nothing to fix. These errors turn up from time to time, with the issue being on the side of Microsoft's servers. Usually these errors resolve themselves, although I have seen cases were it took a couple of days for the error to go away. Unless you get these consistently, and on every reboot and/or login, there is nothing to worry about.

    Thanks @ Pirx.

Yes, this is what I kept reading as well, on other forums and posts - that this error goes away in time.. but I have been having these for more than just 'a couple of days'.. the first time I posted about this here was in August..

Anyway, I understand what you're saying though. I just wanted to know if following that post (from the link in the OP) would be fine.

May be I'll just leave it alone...

    Thanks and cheers..
