    Hi,

I have an old Clevo P150SM with a GTX 780. My CPU fan is constantly spinning up and making noice, even when it's not doing anything particularly hard work. I have checked HWINFO and the temp is quite low < 50C. I have read that this has been frustrating a lot of other people too. I have also read that someone called prema has done some pretty awesome work by making a BIOS mod enabling fan threshold adjustments - however - his website content and everything seems to have vanished from the surface of the earth??? I would really like to try out the Bios and see if it solves my problems, however I'm clueless as to how I can get the software?

    Thx!

    Hi,

Long story short, a very rude individual tried to take credit for Prema's work by taking it as his own after Prema was kind enough to send said individual the BIOS he needed... This is why his website now does not show anything - it's all private.

Anyway, to answer your other questions: I'm not sure what difference there is with the default fan tables on Prema's v2/v3 BIOS mods but I think there is at least a few changes. I am in the same boat as I have recently (due to a change of job) been able to afford purchasing a GTX 970M off of someone upgrading to a 980M.

You need at least 5 messages on the forum (I think) before you can send a PM (it might be you need 5 reps... it's been a while since I was last lurking on here!) - if you then send Prema a kind message inquiring if you can please have the BIOS/vBIOS you require, I'm sure he'll be able to help you when he reads through his inbox.

Hello, I'd strongly suggest you get yourself conductonaut first. It cools down your processor enough to make it not do the noise.

Also if you havent already undervolting is also something u might want to try out as well. It will save you lots of c's
