Sorry, Nissan doesn't know how to make a sports car that looks appealing to me. Audi? Sure, if you like spending a fortune on repairs. No, that's not because of the performance...it's BECAUSE AUDI. See ~2004 allroad & $10,000 timing changes.

911? Sorry, the last Porsche with the engine in the PROPER place--that I liked--was the 928.

Well, maybe writing to your favorite automotive company asking them to sell you your perfect car might help ;).

Holy moving goalposts Batman! I thought we were talking about whether or not cars with certain characteristics exist on the US market. We've found plenty, and you've found new reasons to disregard them.

So what brands ARE you willing to shop from? Because you've really only said positive stuff about...Mitsubishi.

to be fair, your solutions were:

    911
    GTR

neither of those is priced acceptably....regardless of my distastes for their looks.

You want a 650hp AWD grand touring coupe that's civilized in day to day driving and has modern amenities. Did you expect it to be priced against a WRX?

The GTR is a flippin' bargain for what it is. (After all, look at how much the new NSX costs). And "what it is" is exactly what you say you want. So either get a 2010 model for about $60k, or realize that 650 hp in a daily driver is stupid and buy an Audi TTS.

Another car that meets your criteria: Infiniti Q60 AWD. From the factory, makes 300-400hp from a twin-turbo V6, and it's a coupe with sweeping lines.
