Fill out the form so we know what you want to do with it, etc...

Anyway, you can put a GTX 1060 or maybe even a 1070 in your AW 18
@woodzstack may be able to help with that

The Predator runs the CPU quite hot so I'd skip that one.

The Predator only runs hot due to Acer's thermal paste application.

After a repaste, this is the kind of Temps you can expect.

I believe Acer don't allow users to repaste under warranty, though. Not to mention that most people aren't really savvy enough to do it themselves.

As far as I know, there is no void warranty sticker on the Predator. At least in the US there isn't. Also, in the US, you cannot void your warranty due to a repaste as long as you don't break anything.

But yea, if you don't feel comfortable repasting then don't do it. If you do, there is a video on YouTube that nicely walks you through the Predator repaste.

In my opinion, the Predator 17 with the 1070 is a great buy. It has a very good build quality and a nice display that easily overclocks to 100hz. I almost bought one but it's a tad to large for taking it back and forth to work.

Just keep in mind - the keys on the Predators wear out very quickly. A friend of mine has the 970M model and his WASD are basically gone. Other keys are also being wiped off slowly. I personally don't care about it but some folk do.

As for the sticker, I believe it's located on one of the heatsink assembly screws. (At least on the last gen that is)

That's a shame because from what I felt on the current models, it's a great feeling keyboard.

It feels nice, yes but the writing on the keys is not really that durable.
