Hi everyone, i have a Alienware 15R3 with 6820HK, 16gb ram, GTX 1070, SSD Samsung 960 EVO 1tb, Windows 10 home version 1803, BIOS Alienware_15R3_17R4_SKL1.3.0_KBL1.2.4 - 28.june.2018 and i am having some issues regarding the restart boot time for a while.

    The problem is:

Whenever i shut down computer (turn off), and turn on, the boot time is great. It starts in seconds i guess.

But whenever i need to RESTART/REBOOT computer, the boot time to start windows is taking too long. Around minutes i guess. One time it took 5 minutes to load windows screen, staying in that alienware image loading screen.

I checked for virus, malwares, but my computer is clean. I mostly use for work, games and movies.

Is this normal? Is there a way to fix that, but without having to edit essencial files? Thanks

Sammy NVMe drivers have this issue but I suppose its because of older MEI FW.

5 minutes to load Windows screen? Nope, must be something else. Isn’t this mess due the Kionix free-fall sensor on the Alienware’s? Need driver updates? Or disable the junk?

WU updated the drivers when I checked his PC last year. I think its older MEI FW causing the issue along with Intel's TPM. I've this issue on my PC as well.
You need to update MEI. Follow this guide to download CSME tools. Don't flash anything or download any FW w/o checking your MEI version using MEINFO. https://github.com/CHEF-KOCH/HowTo-flash-Intel-Management-Engine-ME-firmware
Some of the points mentioned by Chef koch is incorrect.
Tried NVMe 3.2 drivers from Samsung?

How can i find the problem? Should i download new drivers directly from Dell's website with my tag code, or can i go to device manager and see one by one? Also i dont see any "Kionix" software installed in control panel.

What do you mean by "MEI and MEI FW" ? Sorry but i dont know some terms you guys say haha. Im newbie/novice at this, i have a basic knowledge :) . This intel TPM/management engine does it have driver on dell's website or intel's?

EDIT : i found my Intel Management Engine interface via device manager, and double click, and my version is:

    11.6.0.1032 from september 15, 2016

EDIT 2 : i clicked on "update driver" via Windows device manager, and it downloaded and installed the following version:

    11.7.0.1045 from October 03, 2017

You can download (newer) drivers from Dell’s support page. https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/product/alienware-15-laptop/drivers

I don't have this notebook. Ask in the *Owners* thread.

Intel management engine needs to be patched to latest version if possible! It fixed elatively long boot times 2-10 minutes with AW Logo stuck until its forcibly shutoff.
