    Hey guys!

I'm out of my power after attempted to solve my GPU problem.
I received a "new GTX970M GPU from AliExpress".
    I have a MSI-1763 (GT70 Dominator pro) laptop.
Unfortunately the original GTX880M is died, even GPU-Z couldn't recognize.
I propery installed the new 970m GPU to the motherboard, I had to modify a part of the heatsink so it is fits well on the GPU. I updated the VBIOS and also the Laptop BIOS.

    Details:
    Nvidia Geforce GTX970M
    Vbios version: 84.04.22.00.06

    MotherBoard Bios:
    E1763IMS.51D
    1763EG61 ver. 7.14
    SMBIOS 2.8

My problem is when Nvidia is successfully installed (I tried with modded Nvidia aswell), the system sometimes crashing, freezing and the colors sometimes changing from warm to cold color or brightness goes up to maximum level, the CPU FAN sometimes goes up to maximum speed. I received error code on win10, Video TDR FAILURE and SYSTEM THREAD EXCEPTION NOT HANDLED, nvlddmkm.sys. if I Disable the GTX970M in Device manager, the system stays stable without issue. I have no any idea what is the problem, I tried almost everything. Any good solution would be really appreciated! Thank you!

Thanks! Actually I tried 3 different vbios with different version too, but nothing goes right with this GPU. For me it is strange. The GTX880M when I installed the Nvidia, It couldn't start because of error code, 43, HDMI port was not good. Now with GTX970M HDMI port is working, but the system is not stable, I reinstalled windows 10 and I have no luck.

I'm discussing with him but he's keep telling me the software is the problem and he's sure the hardware is okay.
He said me like "baidu search, download". I have no any idea what is that, something chinese search page, I really doesn't understand (Who understand Chinese language?)
    Here is a picture, https://drive.google.com/file/d/1OrOrAdBRKhGIIIsFyUzs24czILrH-vBr/view?usp=sharing
It looks like I will open a dispute and I will request money refund. Maybe anyone knows what he's trying to say me about the software?

Baidu is the Chinese counterpart of Google (Google is not permitted in China). I suppose he is telling you to search for help on line - or that you need to download firmware or drivers. I am certainly not an expert, but this does sound like a hardware problem.
Good luck, and keep us posted. I have a 970m that I put in an Alienware m15x - it worked very well. Good card.

    Thanks for the information!
Unforfunately it's difficult because he's always saying software problem but I've already opened the dispute so Aliexpress "will refund to me".
I'm just thinking to buy a new HP gaming laptop, I'm not sure does it make sense to upgrade this MSI laptop?
The original GTX880M is passed away and I received always 43 error code in device manager. I reinstalled the software but there was nothing to do, GPU-Z couldn't recognize the card.
Yesterday I played GTA V through GTX970M and I Could play around 30 minutes and the game crashed, I wanted to check with GPU-Z and I could see the card but VBIOS was N/A, it was weird for me.
So I restarted the laptop and after GPU-Z showed all details, so it was working. Later I opened the bandicam and the system just freezzeess...
So that's why I would know it is better for me to upgrade this laptop? It's more than 6 year old but I think these laptops are still very good (exception when you have no problem with them, like my case)
Of course I wouldn't ignore this gaming laptop but I'm just afraid if I will receive a new GPU and maybe it will be the same problem. How do I know if the motherboard is faulty? I would sort out all these things to be clear so I can decide it,
