Remove the HDD which is secured by 4 screws. Also remove the 2 connectors at the side of the HDD using the plastic pull-tabs.

Then remove the wifi module and antennas. Unscrew the single screw holding the Optical Disc Drive, then slide the ODD out. Removal of RAM is optional.

The relative layout of the different screws at the bottom is shown.

Then poke your screwdriver in as shown to remove the keyboard.

Start removing the top cover by using moderate amount of force from the right side. There are many plastic tabs so be careful.

Tilt the panel forward as shown. Unscrew 8 tiny screws, 4 from the left of the panel and another 4 from the right side.

Then remove all the screws found on the left hinge.

Remove the old screen cable from the connector at the back of the panel and the webcam. There is double sided tape applied, so be cautious.

Then put in the new screen cable and the new 1080p panel. Reverse the steps to reassemble the notebook.

The colours are really vibrant on the AUO.
