They usually run the tests for a couple of hours, if not more. Seems like if they had a power issue (PSU tripping?):)

The P150HM has an option for the same 180W PSU that the W88xCU had for the GTX 480M.

Also, last I checked Nvidia controlled the MXM standard.

Power Throttling like the desktop GTX 580?

Or could be that the combined power draw of the 485M+2920XM knocked out the PSU. Since SB CPU's can now boost all cores for short periods of time, I'm afraid we may see 200W+ spikes (overall) even in single GPU systems.

I'm still a little shocked how honest you remain even after becoming a retailer. If I lived in Canada and wanted a Clevo system you'd probably be the only retailer I'd even consider :p All that smooching aside it's gonna be a fun week or two ahead of us, the 485 looks like a very good card.

He became a reseller out of desperation after seeing how all the others acted lol

And spikes of high power draw should not hurt the PSU, just sustained high draw

Thanks for the kind words, M8! A nickname color shouldn't change a person,.. at least that's my hope. First and foremost we are all enthusiasts here trying to get to the bottom of things, even if the truth is painful :(

That's where smart people like me come in and buy a 300W PSU since the P170HM uses the same four pin DIN connector as the X7200.

    Miss me, guys?

The 485M is a beast, but what's the over/under with the line, at say... $850?

    I'll take the Over.

utill down to 78+°C will suddenly be quiet again 50%.........then again 100%.......then 50%.....cycling
if 485m no such a problem then will get two of these.....since i dont need GF100 professional applications like ECC memory FP64...etc

Since 485m=460m Sli, i wonder what 485m Sli might look like.

But to be honest, i havent encountered a game so far that i was dissapointed by how it runs on my 950 i7 and 460m sli.
