Aetina's GPU vbios is normally tied to the motherboard, I wouldn't recommend such an upgrade for 8770W as it most probably will end up not recognized by HPs motherboard.

The M5500M is based off of the GTX 980, not the Titan which uses a full GM200 die, not a GM204.

    1) you have to find the id hardware
    2) unzip software nvidia and modify one file like this... ask which file to some more expert
    3) then you have to restart the system proceding DEACTIVE SIGNATURE
    WINDOWS installation mode.

Some video on line can help you more.

    Hi
Thanks to this forum I have just finished to successfully install a quadro P5000m on my brand new 8770w DC (I upgraded the panel + controller + cable 50pins 1 or 2 weeks ago).

Here were the problems faced when plugging the graphic card:
    in the windows10 device manager
    1. monitor is not recognized (windows 10 plugged it as non Plug and Play Generic panel)
    2. graphic card is not recognized (windows 10 plugged it as microsoft basic display adapter with error 31 on P5000 device)
    3. the screen works as basic Full HD screen with basic set of colors
    4. the directX diagnostic tool can see the P5000 and the fact that microsoft driver is managing it
    5. GPU-Z sees only the microsoft basic display adapter but its specs are the P5000s' I've uninstalled all related drivers (thru DDU process) and try to re-install them. But nVIDIA driver fails to install each time. My bios is the latest (2019 version)

Here are the steps I followed:
    1. windows boot partition MUST BE GPT
    2. The bios boot HAVE to be set at 100% UEFI (mine was legacy bios)
    3. clean fresh install of windows 10 from live usb key (also prepared to boot in UEFI mode)
    4. nvidia Quadro P5000 mobile driver (.inf file) has to be updated manually with computer code of HP EliteBook 8770w matching with graphic card code. I took driver version 390.77
The file to update is nvblwi.inf (w stands for workstation)
    I have added:
    a. under "[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0...14310]" part:
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.176C.103C% = Section034, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BB6&SUBSYS_176C103C

    b. under "[NVIDIA_Devices.NTamd64.10.0]" part:
    %NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.176C.103C% = Section033, PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1BB6&SUBSYS_176C103C

    c. under "[Strings]" part:
    NVIDIA_DEV.1BB6.176C.103C = "NVIDIA Quadro P5000"

    where:
176C is the model code of 8770w motherboard
103C is the brand code for HP computers
1BB6 is the graphic card code for quadro P5000 mobile

    5. As we have just modified the driver, this one can't be installed directly. Because the certificate is no more valid (it is considered as a potential virus for the firewall) . Thus we have first to:
5.1 modify the privilegies of the c://nvidia folder to be able to launch the setup by double clicking on it the setup file
5.2 click on the restart button in the windows 10 "update & security" parameters then follow the steps discribed in this video (probably you should watch that video before doing anything. Every step from the point 1. is clearly explained):

ps: sorry for my poor level of english (I'm neither a native speaker nor good at school :p )

Can someone of you with P5000 upload some 3DMark FireStrike results?
    Thanks!

Indeed, I have choosen this card for its stability and its low energy consumption.
It seems to work well with my 200w charger.

Do you know how to tune a GPU to make big data analysis and AI training?
