Just a guess, but you probably shouldn't pop into random threads to advertise.

    So i had a msi 72s 6qe dominator pro G (980m)

    I traded it in for a GT73VR Titan-017 for $700
Filled out the CC trade in form. Sent my 72s to the msi head quarters address..

Any idea on time frame to receive new laptop. Also do you think this was worth the money?

My old specs where 1tb ssd. 32gb mem and normal stock stuff.

Is this something you recently did or did in the past? All the info I see includes date by "2016" or early 2017...

ya i got a tracking number and all the information from MSI. (last week)

The trade in program doesn't have a date in which is expires. Only prices change base on what models you trade for. I'm 99% sure that you can only trade up 2 times.

    I traded in my msi 72s 6qe (dead motherboard) for a msi 73vr Titan-017 for $700.

There is no deadline to trade in your laptop once you have submitted the initial trade-in form to us. However, the upgrade cost may increase if you wait too long and our current models are discontinued for newer models that may be of higher in price.

You may choose to skip the current GTX 10 series trade-in program and wait for the GTX 11 series trade-in program, but do so at your own discretion because we will not know of any details about the GTX 11 series trade-in program until the GTX 11 series GPUs are actually released. Participating in this current trade-in program does not mean you will be disqualified for the next trade-in. You will still be eligible for the GTX 11 series trade-in program either way.

Straight from the horses mouth... Nowhere in there says that the trade in program is over. Until a official release statement is put out there offer still stands for a gpu upgrade offer for there products.

Don't misinterpret what MSI is saying.

You must have originally purchased a qualifying model to take advantage of the trade in program. It only covers those earlier laptops that were advertised to have a guaranteed GPU upgrade path for the next 2 generations. Those would be models previous to GTX 10 series (Pascal). There is no trade in program if you originally purchased a GTX 10 series MSI laptop.

    lets see...

GTX 10 series to GTX 11 series .... gtx11 doesnt exist yet.
GTX 9 series to GTX 10 series... trade in program

some inside sources (friends at msi) there creating a different program for the gtx10 to gtx11 upgrade program.

If you started with a GTX 9 series, you can go to 10, and 11, with the upgrade program.

If you started with GTX 10 series, you can go nowhere with the upgrade program because there is no upgrade program.
