You'd be better off calling them.

Bumping with a general notice for UK based members that are looking into the trade in program. While the trade-in program was thought to have ended, it has been extended.

Feel free to send an email with your information to uknotebook@msi.com

User MiSJAH was kind enough to follow the topic with MSI and let me know about it so that other UK users can, if interested, use the program. Confirmation came via MSI representative Natalie.

I so look forward to going through this whole ordeal again, when Volta comes out.

Hopefully they'll be far more prepared, with many many hands on deck.

I suspect it they will. But depending on the load customers, the waiting time might be similar. But I do believe the first initial part (the deal itself, the first contact, and the team dedicated) are going to be ready.

Will Volta be another arch+fab process shrink? I now want 1080 ti performance on the go :p

    It's 12nm with a radically different architecture.

You know what usually means: Huge gains.

I was finally contacted by MSI, I was hoping you might be able to tell me which model you had. I am wondering if it is the same as mine so that I might be able to negotiate the same deal?

It should be better. Which model did they offer you?

Thanks to several vocal users, the MSI program was expanded into various regions. Sadly, not many regions got either the trade in program, or they got a very different/limited type. US and UK I believe were the more, well, developed programs as well as support.

Particularly in the US, the program itself had been extended so users could still participate in the trade in, and no longer was it dead set on a specific date. MSI UK also confirmed they extended the program so if you are a qualifying customer, you can contact them so they can offer you a trade in deal.

Any rough estimate when the next version of this trade program might rollout? I want to know when I should be planning to swap my GT80 for something a bit less dated. Right now, dual 980's are still fine for my needs.
