So today I tried a Clevo 980m 8GB GSync Version to run in an M18X R2. I flashed the A11 unlocked Bios, switched to SG and put my old Samsung 850 Evo 500GB with win10(Legacy)already installed. Modded the driver, rebooted and tried Unigine Superposition. And it recognized only the Intel HD. So I switched in the Nvidia global settings to Nvidia gpu and Maximum Performance. Next try with Unigine and everything worked fine. Because I want to sell the M18X R2 I reseted Windows, and after that I took my modded Driver again and installed it. From this point I never got the 980m working correctly. Sometimes it fell down to 440Mhz or stuck at 440Mhz. No matter what I do in Nvidia settings. Does someone knows what that could be?
I read about a modded bios to get this GSync 980m working in PEG. But this post is 4 years old and the link is no more working.

I'm surprised that you got it to work at all in Legacy mode. The 900 series usually only work in UEFI.

Worth a try. Also make sure that Load Legacy Option ROM and Secure Boot are both disabled. Switching to pure UEFI usually means a clean Windows installation is required. This then usually means having to swap the drive partition type during the installation process using Command Prompt and DISKPART

Now I did a fresh windows 10 installation in pure UEFI. After that Intel HD 4000 and 980m was installed. But from this point the Intel HD doesn’t switch to the 980m. No matter what I do in the Nvidia settings. So I thought give it a try and switch to PEG. And what to say. It works.
Only thing left is that it also jumps down to 440Mhz. So maybe I need another VBios?

I got it. I have to install all drivers first to get it working. So for everyone who have a Clevo Gsync card and want to install in M18X R2 with A11 unlocked. It works. Install under pure UEFI Switch to PEG, install all drivers and use the VBios from my last post.

I might help if you attach the vBIOS if it isn't available from a site like techpowerup
