Looks like I'm running into the same problem... Is there a way to get into an OS and flash the new firmware?

Anyone found a way to boot into an OS to flash the P5000 or P3000 on the M6800? I'm stuck in a boot loop now and is experiencing the same issues...

I managed to do that by flashing it on 7720. You need to get a laptop that supports it, or on a desktop with mxm converter.
nvflash does not work under pure dos environment if not mistaken.

...Didn't someone get Windows XP to boot with a Pascal GPU in the M6800? Might be a big hassle but if it boots then you could use that to flash. (OR Linux, maybe.)

I thought back on it and I was wrong, I was thinking about a guy who did Windows XP on M4600 or M6600 to get an unsupported NVIDIA GPU to boot there. (These generations typically don't work with Kepler and up.)

    Latest update:

I used Linux Mint (UEFI) and boot into the Cinnamon desktop used to install Linux Mint. Need to disable Secure Boot in the UEFI firmware in order to allow USB boot devices in M6800.

However, I just needed the Linux Mint in order for me to use the Nvidia nvflash for Linux.

Everything went according to plan and I was able to flash the firmware! I will post more details later.

I am now able to boot into default Windows 10 setup without going into a boot loop or Windows setup throwing up ACPI_BIOS_ERROR.

Thanks to @iieeann for the P5000 firmware. Now to install the drivers! WOOHOO~~~~

The firmware is given by other forumer, and it will definitely work on M6800 and M6700 PC screen.
I just hope for someone to share P3000 firmware that works on old precision XD

How do you plan to cool the P5000?
What heatsink and cooling pads are you going to use?
    Could you share some pictures?
