GPU clock speed

    Is it normal my GPU engine clock sit at 405Mhz? I got the ATi 5870M. I though it should sit at 700mhz.

    With PowerPlay enabled, it's downclocked to save power. Turn off PowerPlay or do something graphics-intensive (like a 3D game) and you'll see the clock go to 700MHz.

    Yes. It clocks up to 700 when it needs it like during gaming.

    Ok nice. Should i disable it? I rarely use my laptop on battery
