OK, I was just going to update my bios, and I've found a new issue.
When I boot into bios (power on hit delete) the fans spool up into some newfound hyper speed and the system hangs.
Stone cold hangs, locks up....nothing works esc or ctrl+alt+del do anything.
The fans are screaming like on run away speed and I have to hold down power button to get out of it.

I'm not running any undervolt or other tweaks like that.

If I don't go into bios everything seems fine and happy.

    Weirdness...
Anyone run into this or anything similar that might have suggestions to try ???

Wow, 50 views and nothing ?
    You guys suck, heh.

    Anyway...smoked cpu.
Going to have to send it back.
Strange it never spooled up the fans under normal usage and none of the temp monitoring software ever said anything above about 45-50c (not a gamer anymore so I never really pushed the thing).

Try stick in a paper clip into the reset pin hole at the bottom of the laptop see if that helps. if it doesn't have a reset pin hole then remove bottom cover and disconnect the battery and re-connect it to try.

way ahead of you, those are the first things I tried.

    Now:
Push power button, it flashes on for about a second then off....nothing more, not a thing.

I find your repartee simply mesmerizing, clearly a master of innuendo.
