    Anyone using it?

I've been on the fence for a while now, considering the pros and cons of using it. Previously I've used dropbox to share some stuff, but dropbox is pretty meh for photos. Obviously the big issue is corporate trust and privacy. I know people here at NBR tend to be more cautious with what they allow to be data-mined.

    Thoughts?

Been using it for as long as it's been a thing.

As far as corporate trust and security, it's secured with the same level of security as your Google Account, Gmail, etc. It also logs usage under said account just like logging into Gmail would. I, personally, love it. I pay for the 1TB storage tier and have a lot of my stuff tied to my Google Cloud which I have secured under outside contract. Google provides a lot of options that most people have no clue about. If you need specific security, talk to them about it.

If you're worried about data mining, especially for corporate purposes, Google can definitely work with you.

Use it. Love it. If you use Gmail, I don't see why you'd be concerned about using Photos.

Been an avid user of it as well, I believe they've even included a feature to edit an album into a video for you. Results can vary, but it's presentable enough to friends and family.

No problems with it thus far, and the cloud storage is great, so far as I'm concerned. The amount of security and privacy is what you'd come to expect from Google at this point.

I use Picasa the photo editing tool of Google, it's also the good for editing your photographs. Google photos let you show the pics and it's totally safe, I am using it since 2012 and you can hide your photos from others and make it private too. It's really safe enough to use it.

My major gripe with Google Photos is that, while you can prevent pictures you store in Drive from showing up in Photos, you cannot prevent pictures in Photos from showing up in Drive.

As a result photos will constantly show up in the list of 'recent' files. If you're like me and access multiple Google documents every day, it can be a little annoying. One workaround is to search your Drive for "title:-.jpg" and sort results by last modified.

There's a long thread of people complaining about this here. Hopefully Google will provide a toggle for this functionality so that some users can keep their Drive recent files free of pictures from Photos storage.

That's true! I didn't think about that earlier! Such thing must be a headache for people who deal every day with such work!
