    How does this look... $999 for the (new?) 13.3" MC374LL/A... 2.4ghz/4gb ram/250gb ram/320M card.

I'll probably get a SSD eventually...

    Any better deals out there?

    Go for it mate!
I have the 2.66GHz version (13") and love it.
Have my Vertex 2 240GB SSD arriving today, so will be installing that some time this week!

    Microcenter, I believe. They're having a sale - $200 off.

Its an awesome machine.. Mines still pretty much stock except 250gb is too small, so I put in a 500gb. when I sit around 400gb of data, it costs way too much for me to go SSD.

I found it at my local fry's but other places probably have similar deals.

Also, Apple is offering a free ipod touch + printer if you buy a macbook... that might be a cheaper route depending on what specs you want

Micro Center is doing it...but it's in-store only, limit of 1:) That's a really good deal though, as we know any Apple sale is very rare other than education discounts and the typical Amazon small discount.

If I was in the market for one, it might even be worth the drive to the bad part of NJ, LOL.

Yes I did the same thing just yesterday, Microcenter is selling this same spec mbp for $999. I ended up selling my i7 17" macbook pro and used the other half of the fund for a new projector. This 13" macbook pro's nvidia 320m is phenomenal.
