that really sucks sorry to hear that. When i sent mine in for repair on the GPU the US depot was very quick and i had my laptop back within 2 weeks. You might just need to call them and keep bothering them until you get your laptop back. It might be slow from the holiday season as well.

Happy New Years! Most of our laptops are past the 1 year old mark at this point. Congratulations!

Has anybody set up a mSATA RAID on their p35x on their own? I'm looking at giving it a shot.

    Hi,
Any chance you could send a screenshot of the Smart Update screen whenever convenient?
I still cannot see this anywhere. Do you have the P35Xv3?
    Many thanks

I actually have a v4, so that might explain it.

On another note, has anybody had extremely slow boot times with W10 and ssds? I recently got a new Samsung 850 EVO mSATA and did a fresh install of windows on it and it still boots in close to two minutes. My other Samsung ssd was doing the same thing.

Is the screen black for most of the 2 minutes? If so its a relatively common issue with Win 10 and how it handles video drivers, it sometimes causes additional delays (from a few seconds up to a few minutes depending on how "lucky" you are). Mine was booting in about 7-8 seconds on Win 8, now on Win 10 its about 15-20 sec.

Update your intel video drivers, if it doesnt help reinstall Win 10, dont let it download anything an check if its still there.

It sits at the Gigabyte screen for the vast majority of the boot, with the spinning Microsoft circle near the bottom. Once it gets past that, everything is lightning again.
