    Hey everyone

I currently own a x7 dt v8 but I have some questions about the recovery partitions.

When I bought the laptop last year I upgraded the nvme drives and made sure I copied the previous boot drive exactly to make the sure the recovery system worked. This was mostly due to being afraid of losing the windows key.

I've now come to find that modern laptops have the windows key in the bios is this right for mine?

Also if I don't need the recovery partition due to windows key not being in it, how easy is it to format the drive with the recovery partition back in place. This is more for when I sell it on, I would like it to be as close to factory as possible.

Thanks for any feedback on these matters.

I'm just wondering as I'm thinking of maybe doing a fresh Windows install and installing manufacturer apps seperately.
