    Hi all

Had the laptop for about a week now and wanted to post a review of the laptop. I purchased this afternoon months of looking at other laptops. My main requirements where:

    Large battery 80w +
    At least 1080p screen
    Minimum 1050gtx
    Aluminium chassis

I managed to find the gigabyte Aero 14 that fitted the bill.

    First impressions:

Great looking machine, thin and light.

    Changes made to software/settings:

    1) Underclock CPU and cache by -120mh
    2) Turned off all fancy appearances in win 10
    3) Tweaked the power profile for the SSD drive to enter super low power mode
    4) Installed all my main software via ninite.com , such as chrome, steam, gimp and zipping software.

    Pros:

The screen is amazingly pretty, great colours.

Light and less than 2 cm thick

Battery life, watching Netflix is 8+ hrs with the above tweaks

Thermals are in check and fans quiet in basic use such as internet browsing , watching Netflix etc. - I Underclocked to get the temperatures even cooler and save some more battery, every little helps.

1050ti allows for reasonable gaming when plugged in.

    Cons:
Had few windows 10 blue screens, this was directly related to NVIDIA and Intel drivers. Once these where installed to the latest versions they disappear ed.

    Expensive cost me $2500 AUD

No where in Australia stocks this model now.

    Will add more later...

    Update:

Played crysis 2 for 2 hours plugged in CPU temp around 60c and GPU around the same. Cooled back down to 32c idle after a few minutes once turned off.

Got constant 60fps in 1080p with extreme settings so is definetly more than playable.

Watching YouTube through chrome and my temp of CPU is 32c and estimated battery of around 11 hours, with fans on 2000+ rpm, suspect if I turned them off I'd get more battery too! That's just insane!!!

No blue screens at all now.

Overall, I'm super happy with it glad I pushed my budget for this.
