Now that my battery has a wear level of 46%, i think its time to get a new one. I was looking at the dells website but they sell the 9-cell ones for $170, which i think to be ridiculously over-priced.

On the other hand i was checking ebay and there are some for as low as $70.00, however i am unsure whats their quality is and how old they would be? Where do you guys get your batteries from? ebay or dell?.

Any suggestions or help would be appreciated.

I would go with Dell just to be on the safe side. However, i did notice that they are selling their new batteries at the same price as the refurbished ones. hmmm.

Buying off ebay is fine as long as the battery is a Dell OEM battery.

Don't buy some cheap knock-off made in China.....

Make sure you have a good read of the Battery Guide, so that when you do recieve your new battery, you can prolong its life. Also, do some research on the Internet and on Wikipedia. Alot of information is available to reduce the wear on it.
