    1994 Toyota Celica
78k miles (going to carfax to verify it)
    Black/Black leather
    Sunroof
    auto

2k cash in hand, she wants for it, she owes 2200 to the bank, but we are going to meet at the bank for title.

The engine sounds fine, kinda sounds a bit rough when a/c cuts in, a/c works, heater works

Has front end pass side damage, and the pass door wont open very much due to the damage.

Not a car accident, she's from another country I guess (husband is navy) and it was her first car 2 years ago, before that was the orginal owner.

    I guess 1-2k to fix/paint the body.

But engine shifts smooth, needs a trans fluid change, oil change. maybe brakes......i figure id do a tune up on it.

Anything someone has to add? I just need it to last a few years if that.

Toyota's are decent running cars and can go past 300k from what i've read. I am sure there are lemmons out there.

I am going to take it to Tire Kingdom for a 30 dollar look over, check fluids, brakes, trans, ect.....

Then meeting her husband and her at the bank.

    What do yall think?

oh, and I drive around 18 miles total, to/from work, 5 days a week.

Sounds like a decent deal, pics would help to see the damage but your description makes it clear.

Hope you know that insurance will probably be a to you since a celica is considered a sports car.

Really? thats silly, its 0-60 time is 2 days! :p

But insurance wont be an issue, car will go in my gf's name, she has had USAA for over 9 years straight, no lapse.

Liability would be less than 60 a month I am sure :O

Lol agreed i had a friend who was selling a 1990 Toyota Corolla for $1000 flat that vehicle had absolutely no damage anywhere and was in great condition overall.

Check the paper you will find some good deals in there. The Mileage on it is low though so that's good you could probably easily take this over 150,000 miles during your ownership

The damage isn't soooo bad. But 2k for a car that would go over 4k at a stealership.

And trust me, here in South Carolina, cars ARE PRICY. Its like a bunch of pirates here.

Honda accord/civics with 180+ go for over 4k here. And they sell!
