I don't know if it's already posted, but I've recently made a cool discovery, getting 3D straight on your laptop without the need of an external monitor. Apparently 3D vision discover (red and blue) http://www.nvidia.com/object/3D_Vision_Discover_Main.html is possible on some older laptops. For some reason Nvidia didn't make this option available to us. Today I can proudly tell you that 3D works on my old HP HDX Dragon, making no difference in fps if 3D is turned on or not.

    1. I have no idea if it works for other graphic cards, but you'll need Nvidia graphic card that is compatible with 186.91 driver and download and install 186.91 nvidia driver (mine was 8800m GTS). Apparently it's recommended to have 8800 or above.

    2. You need to download 186.30 quadro driver
    http://www.nvidia.com/object/Quadro_winvista_x32_186.30_whql.html
Don't install this one yet!!! It wouldn't work anyway

    3. Next you download 7-zip right here: http://www.7-zip.org/

    4. You unpack the 186.30 driver with 7-zip

    5. Go to the folder where you unpacked the 186.30 driver and find 3Dvision_186.30.exe and extract that exe AGAIN

    6. Locate the extracted .exe and find setup.exe and run it, surprise surprise, now you can run it without giving you an error message.

    7. Enable 3D vision, go through the setup:
And you'll have some cool 3D vision...

All you need is some red and blue glasses  and enjoy owning people in whatever game you play in 3D

    8. Finally if you're bored with 3D or it's just giving you a headache, just press CTRL + T to toggle it off or on.

Ok interestingly I made a video with fraps in Modern Warfare 2 and it doesn't show you the 3d like in the preview picture given below (trust me but gameplay is still like the picture below), but shows the video is split in two. It's uploading now... So hold on :) The gameplay may look a bit slow, but that's because fraps was recording at the moment:

I also just made a video with my phone, which does show the actual gameplay. You can also see me toggle between 3D and normal view:

The video is still processing, I'm hoping it'll give better quality in a few hours.

Download Nvidia 3D vision video player to watch your movies in 3D:

Cool, this is one of 4? ways to have 3D. This is one doesn't require a different screen, but can cause slight color changes. Will this work with the GTX 260M on the M15x?

This has been around for at least a year now, saw it at CES 2009 and played some L4D using red/blue 3D glasses from the Superbowl.

Tell me about it. I'm pretty sure this is the first form of 3D vision.
