    Dear experts

Hopefully this is a good place for my topic. I have Lenovo IdeaPad Y50-70 >>> https://www.notebookcheck.net/Lenovo-IdeaPad-Y50-Notebook-Review.120215.0.html

I upgraded to ssd this laptop and recently both 4k TV. Unfortunately this laptop is struggling with 4k resolution.
I would be very grateful if any one would let me know what is the best graphics card which I would be able to fit in this laptop.
And also in my current situation I can choose 4k resolution, however image is only in 30hz. Is it any chance that 4k resolution would be in present in more Hz then 30 after upgrade?

    Please help.

I’m sorry man, you can almost never upgrade the graphics card in laptops, including yours. You’ll need a new laptop (or desktop) to do what you want.

BGA, no ability to upgrade the GPU. And at that old of a dGPU in it, no way you're doing anything realisticly in 4k.

Thank you for your messages, how about some desktop graphics card? Is any chance I can connect to this laptop using desktop power supply and desktop graphics card? External graphics card to laptop?

Nope. Too old. Needs Thunderbolt for an external GPU.

You will find more information on egpu.io as most of the people here left and made their own forum after some friction with Moderators
