I've whittled my MSI search down to two laptops, GE73 7RD (Raider) and GP73 (Leopard), but I can't decide between the two. Spec-wise they seem very similar, although the Leopard has a Hexa-core and the Raider a Quad-core. I want to play high-spec games on it such as Civilization and use it as an all-round laptop for browsing. I'd really appreciate it if anyone has feedback on either of these laptops! Thanks in advance

GP73 is better since it's a newer generation and specs are slightly, especially the GPU where the extra performance may be needed in many games.

I'd go with the GP, most of the GE's advantages are only so when comparing within the same generation. The 1060 alone would make me pick the GP in this comparison.

    MSI GP73 8RF - Leopard for 1300eu with a 1060
    or
    MSI GE73 8RF- Raider for 1549eu with a 1070

is the GP better build bec "newer" ? I dont mind between 1060 or the 1070. I think both graphics are ok for my game needs. (last time games played was with core 2 duo times LOL)

is it not so noisy ... I also dont mind about weight and thickness.

thanks and sorry for adding myself to this threat.

I just ordered the GP73, so I'll be able to better answer your noise question when I get it, but I've heard it gets up to about 55 db.

Is it true that the laptop will be less loud if you pay for the re-paste/advance cooling offerings from HIDevolution?

Yes, because the laptop controls the fan speed (and thusly, the noise) based on the temperature readings. Due to the thermal management upgrades that HIDevolution does, the fan won't ramp up as high as it would in stock form, for any identical workload.
